NGU THUYET _____________________________________ CHERRY BLOSSOMS SHATTERING Translated
by the author I'll
go away -- it'll be all over oh Dalat so sweet! Your
red heels your blue eyes I'll for ever miss. In
the sulks your rosy lips I know 'll be withering In
the fair wind your gown'll be for me seeking. I
do feel a commotion in immense sky-high spaces It's
metal-cold on the forlorn plateau even at midday Purple
clouds down far-away vales' re airing their grievances Like
winds roaming a mountain pass I'm taking a journey. I
left Dalat behind and cherry blossoms to pieces broke All
agog old lakes drove their vaves adrift and aloof Pines
in wan bewilderment and forests in sheer gradient And
waterfalls and hills and mounts entombed my youth. NGU THUYET The Writers Post &
